StreetDoctors
StreetDoctors is a charity that works across the UK to end youth violence. Sessions run by volunteers aim to educate and empower high-risk young people with the skills to deliver life-saving first aid at the scene of a stabbing or collapse, as well as helping them reassess their attitude towards violence.
We run two, hour long sessions focussed on what to do if you find someone who is bleeding, and how to help if they are unconscious. Our student-designed workshops are engaging and practical, giving young people the opportunity to learn the theory behind first aid and to practice the vital skills needed in an emergency.
The Birmingham team is comprised of over 30 volunteers, who run sessions across the West Midlands. We also fundraise throughout the year to support this fantastic charity and it's vital, life-saving work.
