University of Birmingham Medical Society


MedYoga is an entirely free society which runs multiple yoga classes per week throughout the whole academic year. The classes are based in the medical school in the evenings and are taught by experienced yogis and some qualified yoga instructors.

A mixture of several styles of yoga, including Vinyasa and Hatha, are offered. Classes are fun, relaxing, and at times challenging. Members of MedYoga say that it “Helps with other sports.”, is “more sweaty than the gym!” and “makes you feel peaceful and ready for anything!”. Beginners are very welcome- most people are!
