Global Brigades

Would you like to do medical work abroad? To improve the health and quality of life of a poor community? To experience a new culture? To go travelling around Central America ? If so, Global Medical Brigades is for you!

Global Brigades is ‘the world’s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organisation’, sending out thousands of volunteers every year. The University of Birmingham has sent over 300 students to countries including Ghana and Honduras to set up medical clinics and to have an amazing experience and a positive impact on the lives of thousands of people in the communities we work in. This year we will do the same and we want you to come abroad with us to set up and run a mobile clinic and pharmacy, assisst in dental procedure, educate communitiy members about sexual health and dental hygeine and build hygeine facilities, go travelling and much much more!

Apart from spending at least 9 days in Honduras or Nicaragua there a huge opportunities to travel afterwards and we have lots of fundraisers planned for you this year such as Charity Bag Packs Krispy Kreme sales for Fresher’s, nights outs, pub quizzes, cake sales. You name it ! Also there will be fun socials.
