Freshers' Fair 2020

Welcome to our MedSoc Freshers' Fair 2020!

(Don't worry - you DO NOT need to login to this MedSoc website to access Tuesday's Freshers' Fair!)

Welcome, welcome! This year, we are hosting our very first VIRTUAL Freshers' Fair on Tuesday 22nd September 12pm - 4pmAll of our societies, charities and sports teams have been busy decorating their website pages so that you can get the best virtual taster experience of what each of our MedSoc societies has to offer! You can find all the information about what the society is, what they get up to, and why you should join them on each of their respective pages. Browsing through a Freshers' Fair with almost 90 societies to choose from has never been easier! But wait...there's more...

All of our societies, charities and sports have each, on their pages, provided a Zoom link for you to join so you can speak to some current members of the society face-to-face (much like a real-life Fair). Whether this be if you want to find out more about the group, or you need a bit more convincing to join, or even if you just want to meet some new people, then please please please feel free to join these calls and chat as much as your heart desires with our wonderful volunteers! Everyone is very friendly and have all volunteered to help out, so please don't be scared to engage as they're all really keen to answer any questions you might have!

We're also lucky enough to be joined by some of our amazing sponsors too, all of them boasting some great deals and chances to win some big prizes! Definitely don't forget to check them out on our Sponsors page.

Our sponsors, The Medical Defence Union (MDU) and the British Medical Association (BMA) are hosting live Zoom Q&As from 2.30pm - 3.30pm and 12pm - 2pm, respectively, as well as Medical Protection on the day so make sure to tune in! And just another date for the diary - the BMA are also hosting their own FREE Virtual Freshers' Event on the 14th October (check out their page on here for more information) with special live speakers, such as one famed Love Island medical professional...

Remember, to join any of our MedSoc's societies, charities or sports you need to be a MedSoc member! Memberships can be bought from the Guild of Students Website which can be found via links on our home page. And, just in case you're wondering where your membership fees all go, all of the funds we raise from memberships, sponsorships and tickets for events go straight back in to our societies, charities and sports clubs so they can keep giving you great experiences, putting on amazing events and can keep getting bigger and better every year. As well as this, as a MedSoc member, you'll be able to access some great deals and discounts at a huge array of places around our Birmingham city itself, including clubs, restaurants and even the legendary... Ghetto Golf!

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to pop into the MedSoc Committee Zoom chat where some of our Committee will be around to help out and answer questions, or just drop Birmingham MedSoc a message on our Facebook or Instagram pages!
