University of Birmingham Medical Society

BMWFC (Women's Football)

If you’re looking for the perfect balance between fitness and fun, then look no further than Birmingham Medsoc Women’s Football Club - the reigning NAMS CHAMPIONS!

We are open to all abilities, from those who have never kicked a ball before to those who think they could have made the Lionesses’ squad for the World Cup! We train every Wednesday evening on the Bournbrook 3G pitches from 8-9pm, and participate in the Birmingham County Women's League, as well as having various fun socials throughout the year.

We practise a range of skills and have plenty of opportunities for game time for everyone, from the weekly Sunday league, to the annual varsity block fixture and the National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) tournament.

As a fresher, it can sometimes feel daunting joining a society, but we have football families which make sure that you can get to know a few of the older years and fellow freshers on the team to help you along.

So, if you’d like to join the current NAMS Champions, i.e. the best Medsoc women’s football team in the country (oi oi) and just a lovely and welcoming group of ladies, contact us on Facebook at ‘BMWFC Official’  for up to date information or Instagram at @_bmwfc_ or email with any questions.
