Hiya,
I?m a final year Sport and Exercise Sciences student in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences who is desperately looking for some White European and South Asian volunteers to participate in our study.
South Asians are at a greater risk of adverse cardiovascular events and present much younger with severe cardiovascular disease than their White European peers. This is a very new area of research and will hopefully help future generations.
We are looking for:
- Healthy White European and particularly, South Asian (Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Sri-Lankan)
- Male (aged 18 - 35) to participate in a non-invasive study investigating the ethnicity related differences in cardiovascular control.
Study will entail 2 short visits, 1 familiarization and 1 experiment. As a participant, you can obviously come see how cardiovascular measurements we make in our lab / School. Please email us for more information or to express interest.
