University of Birmingham Medical Society - listen learn and enjoy

Birmingham Anatomy Society

Welcome to Birmingham's own Anatomy Society!

As a fresher, it might be daunting to start medical school with no idea what goes on in the years ahead. Worry not, as our friendly committee here at Birmingham Anatomy Society are always on hand for help and guidance. laugh

Anatomy is the basic science of human structure and form. It's super important for both pre-clinical years and when translating the important facts into clinical practice in years 3-5.

Why join us?

1. We host regular teaching and revision sessions to support the anatomy curriculum taught at the medical school. This is perfect for those who want extra help or just a refresher of content for exams.

2. We really care about anatomy. We want to make sure you understand it. We will do our absolute best to make sure you feel comfortable with every topic we can possibly cover!

3. Exciting anatomy socials and guest lecturers for all those budding surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, or whatever specialty you choose! Anatomy forms a part of most medical specialties, from very little to the majority of the job. We want you to develop an interest and enjoy it, rather than just wrote learn anatomy for your exams.

I'm in! Where do I sign up?

The good news is this society is ABSOLUTELY FREE. We teach and help you guys out for FREE, because we really care about you and making sure you truly love everything anatomy. Our Facebook page is our central hub for information on our teaching sessions and our committee members. Click the link below and it will take you there. Please make sure you are a MedSoc member though, that's really important to be a part of our society! There's a little head icon on the top row of this page, click that to join our society on MedSoc's page.

Hope to see you all soon, you can join us on our Zoom call for Fresher's Fair on Tuesday 22nd September at 3pm
