  • Welcome to Barts and the London Cardiology Society's 2nd Annual National Cardiology Conference!!!

The world of cardiology is vast and you may be uncertain what a career in this esteemed specialty entails. This year, we are fortunate to have several respected figures in cardiology to speak about their fascinating areas of interest and even give valuable advice for the budding cardiologist in you!

Delegates will also have a chance to get their hands on cutting edge technology that visualises the heart in ways never seen before, and be introduced to (or refreshed in) ultrasonography of the heart. You need not be a medical student (yet!) or be studying at Barts SMD to attend this event.

This event will be held within the hallowed grounds of St. Bartholomew's Hospital, Britain's oldest hospital (founded in 1123). You may be interested to know that it was here that William Harvey conducted his research on the circulatory system in the 17th century, and where the Barts Heart Centre is home. With state-of-the-art facilities, this centre performs more heart surgery, MRI and CT scans than any other centre in the world, making it Europe?s largest specialised cardiovascular centre.

A delicious lunch will be provided and certificates given out shortly after the event. Be sure to hit 'Going' or 'Interested' to keep up to date with the event page as we post speaker and workshop details. This is not an event to be missed!
